Jennifer Perry, a teacher at Core Kinetics Pilates for the last 8 years, is currently performing in Stuttgart, Germany, in the theater production of “Youkali.” Jenn performs an aerial routine during the show, as well as several other singing and dancing acts. The show runs until early February.

Core Kinetics Movement & Pilates has recently moved to 1433 N. State St., next to Klicks Running & Walking. We are pleased to continue offering outstanding private Pilates & Gyrotonic training, small-group classes, and Pilates instructor training at our new location.

Bellingham Studio Move Complete

The Bellingham Studio is now completely transitioned into its new space at 1433 N. State St. The move came after a summer of negotiations with Boundary Bay Brewery, who desired to expand their brewing operations into the old Railroad Ave. studio space. The new space, while smaller in square footage, offers many exciting upgrades from our previous location. Here are some of the new attributes and amenities of the new space:

an abundance of free and .25/hour parking
more windows, less artificial lighting, & skylights which open to allow heat to dissipate quickly
radiant panel, infrared heating panels. Very efficient, no noise, no fans, no dust
two additional trapeze table units to accomodate private training sessions
one private area and another semi-private area to facilitate private training without distractions
the addition of four Pilates chairs to the small-group apparatus classes
adjoining Klicks Running & Walking, with access to retail sales of Pilates and self-massage props and tools
biomechanical analysis of running gait by Klicks staff free for all clients

The staff is already enjoying the ease of teaching in conversational tones vs. the vocal strain of projecting our verbal cues through the two stories of open ceiling that our old warehouse required. We are still working out the ideal equipment arrangements for classes, but are finding it is much easier to keep a strong corrective eye on each class member when clients and equipment are not so spread out.

We find our new space to be warm, friendly and inviting. It is smaller, but it is also much much more efficient to operate and work within. It is our hope that the saving in time, energy and money can be reinvested in our clients and staff in the form of continual improvements in customer service, equipment, educational opportunities and community outreach. Bellingham Studio Moves on Oct. 31, 2011 to New Location

Our Railroad Ave. studio is moving to 1433 N. State St. on Oct.31, 2011. The new space is next to Klicks Running & Walking, and has plenty of on-street parking, both metered and un-metered. We will be holding an open house to greet clients and friends into the new space on Sunday, Oct. 30th, from 5:30-7:00pm. We will be serving gourmet ice cream and cupcakes while touring the new training rooms and equipment.
